Today Provider-one.net Limited and Switch Media Plc have chosen to peer thier networks at LINX.

Today we have added to new peer at LINX, Ubuntunet Alliance .   Ubuntunet Alliance is a non profit alliance of African research and education networks, and exists with the goal of providing cost effective bandwidth and Internet services to national research and education networks on the African continent.

On Wednesday 8th April 2009 we introduced our sixth Global Transit provider Cogent. Cogent adds to additional resiliency to Provider-one.net network in addition to increased capacity.
Cogent is the sixth Global IP Transit provider we have a direct connection with and the current lineup is as follows:

We have been working hard to increase to capacity and resiliency of Edge Switch 3-1 and 4-1 in Telecity Harbour Exchange (8&9).
Changes made:

Upgrade the switch interlinks (to core switches CS1 and CS2) from 2Gb/sec to 4Gb/Sec for Internet facing connections and 2Gb/sec to 4Gb/sec for Private communications.
