Service Upgrade Notification and Schedule
As part of Provider-one.net Limited’s ongoing commitment to its customers to provide an excellent quality of service, we are in the process of upgrading our hardware and software as part of its continual service improvement programme. This entire upgrade has been carried out over the next few months and majority of the work will be carried out in the background so as not to disrupt the services provided to you. This page will provide our customers with information about those changes, schedules, impacts to service.
High level objectives:
- Standardisation of all shared hosting servers on HP servers
- Introduction of new Edge switches
- Deliver customer information systems
- Expand resiliency, performance and scalability of Provider-one.net Core Network
Planned activities:
- Migration of server p1host5 to p1host8 (complete)
- Migration of server p1host2 to p1host7 (complete)
- Migration of server p201 (legacy purplesquared) to p1host9
- Rolling migration schedule for legacy purplesquared customers
- Migration of anti-spam services from MXLogic to Provider-one.net eMailDefence service
Un-Planned activities:
- Re-cable racks 1, 2, 5 and 12 in Telecity Harbour Exchange (8&9)
- Migration of server p1host4
- Migration of server p1host1
- Installation and configuration of inbound MX Servers (Hardware already installed)
- Expand storage capacity on server p1host7 and p1host8
